& VEAP Benefit

Braemar Ice Arena

7501 Ikola Way – Edina, Minnesota

The turning of the weather to C-O-L-D means only one thing…that our 5th Annual BCLFSC Holiday Pops Skating Exhibition & VEAP Benefit is around the corner! The big event takes place from 4:35 – 6:35 p.m. on Sunday, December 9th.  Skaters will perform solo, pair, trio, and ensemble numbers. Both of Team Braemar’s synchronized skating teams, Junior and Intermediate, will also perform.

This will be a great way to celebrate the holiday season and a fabulous winter sport that can be enjoyed year-round.

The sign up sheet for Club skaters is on the bulletin board outside the club room.  Please limit the length of music to 1 minute to 1 ½ minutes to give everyone a chance to skate.  Make friends and try and do ensembles–pairs, trios–whenever possible.  This year we will plan on having two  5-minute warm ups.  One for the 1st -half, one for the 2nd half.

4:35 – 4:40 warm up

4:40 – 5:30 – skaters

5:30 – 5:40 – ice make

5:40 – 5:45 warm up

5:45 – 6:35 – skaters

Skaters can sign up to participate in this event at the rink; please work with your pro/coach to put a number together. Registration is free, but we do ask that each participating skater provide three-dozen baked goods for the bake sale the day of the event. You can bring your baked goods (bagged in quantities of 6) to the conference room at the rink on Saturday, December 8th or on Sunday, December 9th (no later than Noon).

In addition, we will be asking participants and spectators to bring canned/dry goods and make a $5 financial contribution to Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP), which is a local non-profit agency serving low-income families, individuals, elderly and disabled persons in the communities of Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, and South Minneapolis, MN. VEAP provides food pantry, social assistance, and transportation services.

This event has quickly become a Braemar tradition and has become a huge success. We look forward to seeing you there!

Happy Holidays,
