Team Braemar Alumni News
Many Team Braemar athletes go on to compete at the Senior and Collegiate levels of synchronized skating after graduating from High School.
Recently, Alana Christie and Sage Kelner–athletes on Miami University’s (OH) Senior Synchronized Skating Team and former Team Braemar members–competed on behalf of Team USA at the World Synchronized Skating Championships.
The competition, the highest event for synchronized skating, which included 25 teams from 20 countries, was held in Ontario, Canada on April 10 and 11. Alana and Sage’s team skated two outstanding programs to “The World is Ours” (the 2014 World Cup anthem) and a medley of Elvis music, earning 8th place in a very strong field.
Miami University won the Silver Medal at the 2015 U.S. Championships to qualify for the world event. The team also represented Team USA at the Mozart Cup in Salzburg, Austria, in January, where it earned the Bronze Medal. Congratulations to Alana and Sage for their recent successes in synchronized skating! We are Braemar Proud of you!
