Alex Christianson and the Dream volunteers are recognized as our 2017 Volunteer of the Year.
Chris faithfully served BCLFSC last year as Chair of the 2015 Midwest & Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships, held at Braemar Arena on January 28-31, 2015. Chris demonstrated exemplary leadership in working with a dedicated core of committee chairs and mobilizing an army of volunteers to host this extraordinary event. Prior to this, Chris served as a member of the BCLFSC Board of Directors.
Chris is married to Jen and have three children. Their daughter, Maddie, is an individual freestyle skater who previously skated with Team Braemar. A huge thanks to Chris for his leadership with hosting 2015 Synchro Mids at Braemar!
Brian has faithfully served BCLFSC over the years on the Board of Directors, as Vice-President and President. He served on the Board this past year despite having no current skaters at the Club.
Brian is married to Lori and has two daughters. His daughter, Grace, attends the University of Kansas and skated as an individual freestyle skater and with Team Braemar during her years at BCLFSC. A huge thank you to Brian for his exceptional, dedicated service to the Club over the years!
Evelyn Bone was recognized as our 2013 Volunteer of the Year at the Club’s annual Awards Banquet held on May 19th at the Interlachen Country Club in Edina.
Evelyn has faithfully served BCLFSC over the years in many important roles including Coordinator of the Braemar Ice Show (since 2007), Ice Coordinator (since 2008), Membership Chair (since 2008), and the BCLFSC Board (Member, VP and President over 2 non-consecutive terms, 2005-11). Evelyn has been an active volunteer at several local synchronized skating competitions and served in various volunteer capacities on Team Braemar.
Evelyn is married to Chuck and are both committed skaters at Braemar. They have two daughters, Gwen and Rebecca, who have skated with Team Braemar and are accomplished figure skaters. A huge thank you to Evelyn for her exceptional, dedicated service to the Club over the years!
She has served in many important roles including Co-Chair of the Braemar Competition (2008-2010), Treasurer (2009-2010), President (2010-11; 2011-12) and Sanction Coordinator (2010-2012).
Laura has three daughters, Samantha, Hanne and Emily, who are all competitive figure skaters at the BCLFSC so she manages her time very well and we thank her for her dedicated service to the Club!
