Our Club offers many opportunities for you to participate in on- and off-ice training depending on your skating needs and goals.
We can accommodate:
- competitive skaters from basic skills to elite levels,
- synchronized skaters who can try out to be a part of Team Braemar, a world-class, elite synchronized skating team,
- skaters requiring off-ice training facilities and a trainer who specializes in working with figure skaters, and
- skaters who want a fun way to stay fit and participate in club events such as test sessions, the Annual Ice Show, and Braemar Competition.
Our professional team of coaches come from a variety of backgrounds and experience and can help you to achieve your personal skating and training goals. We have outstanding facilities including a well-maintained ice arena, a club room, and ballet room featuring off-ice training instruction and equipment. Our personal trainer offers ballet, conditioning, strength, pilates, and aerobics training, and offers group classes as well as individually-designed training sessions.
As an organized club, we serve as a “purchasing agent” to buy ice time from the City of Edina. We subdivide our ice hours into sessions, which our skaters use for training. Club ice contracts are offered through the school year (Fall, Winter and Spring) as well as the summer (June-August). Skating on club ice requires club membership. Skaters whose primary membership is with another USFSA skating club can contract for club ice as an associate member. Each full club member is required to purchase two ice sessions per week.
