Training

The Braemar City of Lakes Skating Club offers many opportunities on and off ice training for our members to participate in for all skills and levels.

We can accommodate:

  • competitive skaters from basic skills to elite levels
  • skaters requiring off-ice facilities and a trainer who specializes in working with figure skaters
  • synchronized skaters
  • skaters who want a fun way to stay fit and participate in club events

Our professional team of coaches come from a variety of backgrounds and experience and can help you to achieve your personal skating and training goals. We have outstanding facilities including a well-maintained ice arena, club room, and ballet room featuring off-ice specialized instruction and equipment. Our personal trainer offers ballet, conditioning, strength, pilates, and aerobics training, and offers group classes as well as individually-designed training sessions.

As an organized club, we serve as a “purchasing agent” to buy ice time from the City of Edina. We subdivide our ice hours into Club Ice sessions, which our skaters use for training. Club ice contracts are offered through the school year (Fall, Winter I/II and Spring) as well as the summer (June-August). Skating on club ice requires club membership during the school year. Skaters whose primary membership is with another USFS skating club can contract for club ice as an Associate member.
